About this Role:
The Staff Services Manager (SSM) I, oversees the communication of new and revised Medi-Cal provider communications, CA-MMIS Medi-Cal providers and beneficiaries. The incumbent provides comprehensive program consultation and expertise in the increasingly complex and sensitive area of provider and beneficiary communication. In addition, by ensuring that state Medi-Cal policies are correctly implemented through edits/audits and manual adjudication of claims.

This work location is very convenient!  The CA-MMIS Division is located in West Sacramento near IKEA and Walmart. There are several restaurants and fast-food locations nearby, with Starbucks within walking distance. This location has easy access to I-80 and has FREE parking!

The incumbent works in an office setting with artificial light and temperature control. The ability to use a personal computer and telephone is essential. The incumbent must be able to frequently remain in a stationary position at a workstation throughout the day and must occasionally position self to perform a variety of tasks including retrieval of files.

The incumbent is a Work Week Group E employee and is expected to work an average of 40 hours per week each year and may be required to work specified hours based on the business needs of the office .

TELEWORK INFORMATION

Beginning July 1, 2025, pursuant to Executive Order N-22-25 issued March 3, 2025, and California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) Statewide Guidance issued March 13, 2025, DHCS team members generally will be required to report in-person a minimum of four days per week unless exempted/excepted.
