What would you do as a Senior Human Resource Generalist

As a Senior Human Resource Generalist at Butterfield Trail Village, you will play a vital role in aligning our HR practices with legal requirements and organizational objectives. Collaborating closely with leadership and staff across all departments, you will manage benefit administration, policy compliance, performance management, employee relations, and recruiting efforts. Your expertise will be instrumental in hiring, training, and developing employees, ensuring that leaders and staff receive the guidance and support necessary to meet performance standards and organizational goals. This position demands strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a passion for delivering impactful HR solutions. To thrive as a Senior Human Resource Generalist at Butterfield Trail Village, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience, with a Master’s Degree preferred. A minimum of 5-8 years of proven HR experience, including at least 5 years in a Generalist role, is essential. Certifications such as Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) are highly regarded.

Successful candidates will have demonstrated expertise in broad HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, and performance management, with measurable outcomes. Strong mentoring, coaching, and leadership skills are crucial, complemented by excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in HR tools and software, such as Paycor, is required, alongside an analytical mindset for data evaluation and decision-making.

Up-to-date knowledge of employment laws, exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective conflict resolution capabilities are all necessary attributes for success in this role, as well as the ability to adapt to changing priorities within our healthcare environment.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources required or equivalent experience.
  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources, preferred.
  • 5-8 years of proven experience in Human Resources with at least 5 years in a Generalist or similar role.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred.
  • Demonstrated success performing broad Human Resource functions with measurable results including recruitment employee relations and performance management.
  • Experience in mentoring, coaching, supporting and leading a team.
  • Experience working in a Healthcare environment is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Human Resource Tools and software such as Paycor.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data and adjust accordingly.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Employment Laws, Regulations and Best Practices.
  • Exceptional Attention-to-Detail Organization with a results-oriented mindset.
