Job Description

Beacon Hill Legal is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join a Public Finance Practice Group in Austin. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in public finance or commercial real estate. Having flexibility with working hours and the ability to travel to/from meetings is required. This opportunity is full time, direct hire, and fully on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, revise, and finalize correspondence, memoranda, legal documents, and reports used in legal proceedings and business transactions
  • Assist with preparation and coordination of large transactional closings, including document review and organization
  • Maintain electronic document management systems and organize physical and digital files related to legal matters
  • Conduct legal research and analyze information to support case strategy, regulatory compliance, or transactional planning
  • Communicate with clients, court representatives, and regulatory agencies to facilitate filings and obtain necessary information
  • Monitor and interpret updates to election laws affecting political subdivisions and legislation governing Special Districts
  • Organize and facilitate Board meetings, ensuring accurate documentation and recordkeeping of all proceedings
  • Act as the primary liaison for each District
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support attorneys and the legal team.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in public finance or commercial real estate; corporate or transactional experience will also be considered
  • 4+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm setting required
  • Accurate recordkeeping and file management skills
  • Flexibility with working hours to complete projects, attend lunch and evening meetings, and travel to/from meetings inside and outside of the metroplex
  • Enjoys working in a team-oriented environment.
