Medical Call Center Supervisor Location Buffalo, NY (South Ellicott area) :

Location : Cardiology Call Center at our corporate office in Buffalo, NY.

Position Type : Full-time, First Shift

No nights, weekends, or holidays and free parking!

Essential Duties of a Medical Call Center Supervisor :

  • Coordinate and implement training and support for all new and existing staff on all office procedures relating to the department.
  • Prioritize daily assignments/tasks to ensure smooth workflow. Monitor and make changes as necessary under the Director.
  • Communicate with staff about changes to provider schedules, patient appointments, and issues that affect office operation.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide the necessary education, training, tools, and support to perform duties.
  • Prepare and conduct team meetings regularly.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to work through staff and office issues and assess when situations need escalation to the Director.
  • Monitor daily call wait times and address as necessary.
  • Coordinate monthly department schedule, distribute to the staff, and manage the staff time and attendance function, including approving timecards and paid time off requests.
  • Work with the Director to address employee performance and corrective action issues.
  • Write and administer annual performance evaluations in conjunction with the Director.
  • Participate in the interview process of candidates in conjunction with the Director.
  • Conduct first-level triage and investigate patient complaints and route them to the Director.
  • Deliver exemplary customer service to provide a positive patient experience across the organization.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications of a Medical Call Center Supervisor :

  • Highschool or GED required, Associates degree preferred
  • 3 to 5 years experience in a medical office/call center environment. Leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge of medical office, insurance, and medical terminology.
